PS #4: Where Should Performers Draw the Line?

 
In recent news, a $100,000 a plate Gala staged by performance art doyenne Marina Abramovic for Los Angeles MOCA paid performers $150 while they worked for four hours in humiliating conditions. Closer to home, City Hall Presents, a new free series, although offering good PR possibilities, is paying $500 total per show for “world-class performing arts offerings.” That’s way below standard.  Where do you think performers should draw the line?
